New Zealand Defence Force, discharge of treated wastewater to the Waitangi Stream

June 2011: Dr Ausseil was appointed as independent hearing commissioner by Horizons Regional Council to hear a series of applications by the New Zealand Defence Force for the discharge of treated wastewater from the Waiouru wastewater treatment plant to the Waitangi Stream. The Panel comprised Councillor Jill White, Mrs Christine Foster (Panel Chair) and Dr Olivier Ausseil. The applications were heard on 21-22 June 2012 in Ohakune.
