Analysis and Reporting Projects
Discharges of stormwater in the Hawke’s Bay Region are currently managed under the provisions of the Regional Resource Management Plan and the Proposed Regional Coastal Environment Plan. As part of a wider review of its environmental policies, the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council is reviewing its planning provisions relating to discharges of stormwater.
July 2011: Greater Wellington Regional Council (GWRC) is in the process of developing technical recommendations to support the Council’s second generation Regional Freshwater Plan. The Council commissioned Aquanet Consulting to provide data analysis and interpretation in relation to the nutrient status of the 56 RSoE freshwater water quality monitoring sitesHere, the term “nutrient status” is intended to include:
March 2010: Concerns were raised in the late 1990s about the quality of the lower Hurunui River. In November 2005 Environment Canterbury started a monitoring programme focussed on the middle and lower reaches of the Hurunui River. This programme aimed at providing background water quality and river flow data for the middle reaches of the Hurunui River and its main tributaries.
Aquanet Consulting was commissioned by the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council to produce a comprehensive report on the state, trends and contaminant loads in the Tukituki catchment.
Olivier provided mentoring or peer review to a number of regional SoE water quality reports, for Environment Canterbury (2011), Environment Southland (2011), West Coast Regional Council (2008), Hawke's Bay Regional Council (2009). Olivier is also currently assisting Greater Wellington Regional Council for the preparation of the council's upcoming 5-yearly SoE water quality report.
